What Can I Expect From Full Mouth Reconstruction?
A full mouth reconstruction involves comprehensive evaluation and planning, so you’ll start with a consultation with Dr. Russo. After looking at your medical and dental history and discussing your goals, lifestyle, and budget, he’ll also take a variety of images, such as X-rays, intraoral photos, and “no goo” digital impressions using iTero.
These will all be combined to create a diagnostic wax-up of your teeth, and Dr. Russo will use it to better explain your options and show you how different procedures will improve your appearance and function at the same time.
From there, Dr. Russo will create a customized treatment plan for your needs, which may include one or more of the restorative and cosmetic procedures below.
Dental Crown/Bridge
A dental crown (sometimes called “a cap”) is a restoration that fits completely over a tooth to replace any damaged tooth structure. Usually tooth-colored, crowns look very natural and will restore your tooth’s strength, function, and appearance.
A bridge is a type of restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth. It uses the two natural teeth (or a dental implant) on either side of an empty space for support. These supporting teeth have dental crowns on them that are fused to a “floating” crown in the middle.
Onlays & Inlays
When a tooth can’t be repaired with a filling but doesn’t need a full dental crown either, a ceramic inlay or onlay is often a good choice. An inlay sits within a back tooth (similar to a typical filling) while an onlay covers the cusps but doesn’t extend all the way to the gumline.

For replacing missing teeth or anchoring dentures, dental implants provide a more natural look and feel than any other option. They can be completely customized to replace one tooth, several teeth, or all the teeth and can last a lifetime with proper care and maintenance.
